This guide outlines how behavioural science can help spread the take-up of person- and community-centred approaches to health and wellbeing.

Key findings

The guide uses the EAST framework to organise ideas and examples. The core message of EAST is that if you want to encourage a behaviour, you should make it Easy, Attractive, Social and Timely.

The international research consortium RESYST (Resilient & responsive Health Systems) has examined healthcare purchasing functions in some low and middle-income countries to identify factors that influence the ability of healthcare purchasers and other key actors to take strategic actions. Ten actions required to improve health, social care and well-being in Wales

Health and social care organizations from Wales joined in the Welsh NHS Confederation’s 2016 Challenge Policy Forum and the published a document called “Ten actions required to improve health, social care and well-being in Wales", trying to establish their priorities in order to get a better system.

The ten priorities described are: long term vision, ensuring financing, planning workforce, person centred and integrated care, public health perspective, improve preventive measurements, creating a culture of honest and open communication with population, improving mental health support, ensuring equal access to health and social care and improving the use of technology.

ENS4Care: Evidence Based Guidelines for Nurses and Social Care Workers for the deployment of eHealth services

The EU-funded Ens4Care project has developed five guidelines for European nurses and social workers on how to use eHealth for promoting a healthy lifestyle and prevention, clinical practice, skills development for advanced roles, integrated care and nurse ePrescribing.

In October 2014 the charity Diabetes UK published a report titled "Improving the Delivery of Adult Diabetes Care Through Integration: Sharing Experience and Learning". The increase of polypharmacy together with the population aging is making care homes a central point to develop health care programmes, specially related to medicines management and integration of different health care proffessionals.
